Why Gujarat's solar companies struggle to hire

Gujarat has become one of India's biggest renewable-energy hubs, with very large projects such as the Khavda renewable energy park in Kutch, a dense cluster of solar module manufacturers, and a steady pipeline of utility-scale and commercial-and-industrial installations. Every one of these projects needs the same scarce people at the same time: engineers who have actually commissioned plants and leaders who have delivered on schedule.

Those people are almost always mid-project, frequently on remote sites, and they move only for the right role, location and package. Job portals surface thousands of 'electrical engineers' but very few with relevant field experience — which is why searches drag on while project deadlines don't.

Module and cell manufacturing needs a different profile from EPC: process, quality and maintenance engineers who understand high-throughput production lines. O&M needs people who are comfortable with long-term site life and data-driven plant performance.
